Helpful Resources

Weekly Parent/Teen Devotional
With Heart Connex student ministers can help parents take up the responsibility of teaching their children at home, providing free tools to get started and continue faithfully.  Each week, Heart Connex provides parents with two free 20-minute Bible study devotionals in PDF format. These studies, authored by Dr. Richard Ross, contain solid Bible teaching presented in a warm, interactive format. Heart Connex involves students and parents, with each given specific things to say or do. The conclusion of each study suggests a meaningful way to pray as a family.

Center for Parent Youth Understanding
The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding is a nonprofit organization committed to building strong families by serving to bridge the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers.  At a time when an already confusing youth culture is changing quickly, CPYU helps parents, youth workers, educators, and others understand teenagers and their culture so that they will be better equipped to help children and teens navigate the challenging world of adolescence.

Plugged In Online
With music, television, and movies so central to lives of students today, Plugged In Online is a helpful resource to help parents and leaders navigate the waters and steer students to making good choices about entertainment.  From video game reviews to internet trends, the site is incredibly helpful for families who desire evaluations of media from a Christian perspective.  This is a resource from Focus on the Family.
